The main steps when downloading updates on demand
- Trimble provides a web server, which will contain the newest available updates to Trimble Infrastructure Solution software. The update feature can monitor a specified folder at the web server. Its URL is . There you will find subfolders for the Trimble software products. Use the Trimble web site to visit the Trimble web server and to check if newer versions are available.
- Read the software information and start the download from the Trimble web server to the default update folder on an arbitrary computer. This folder is the <installation folder>\Updates folder.
- Distribute the software to the default update folders on all computers participating in the distributed system.
Installing the software updates
If new software update files are available on a computer, the installation process is started the next time when you (re-)start a service or application using the Trimble Service Administrator software.
Note - For avoiding the interruption of a running system as well as incompatibilities, the installation of the software updates does not start automatically as soon as the updates are available. You can wait for a convenient time for shutting down the system and starting the installation process.
