Most modules log results, events and other data to the system-wide technical database. The Trimble 4D Control Server database server ensures that all modules that output any kind of information log into this database. A default technical database is created with the first installation of Trimble 4D Control Server.
When de-installing the Trimble 4D Control Server database server, you will be asked whether you want to keep the current database or whether it should be removed, too. It is safe to keep the current database.
Trimble recommends the administrator of the database server to regularly backup the database.
User management, reporting, and the display of data other than real-time data (History views, Chart views) in Trimble 4D Control Server are based on the database entries.
