System properties

System properties are global settings which are used throughout the whole system, notwithstanding the selected system configuration.

The system properties include:

• The geodetic datum definition.
• Operator settings as default entries when you add new reference base coordinate information.
• Specifications on automatic file download and / or update of the software and of Trimble common files, such as receiver and antenna information.
• Login data to the Trimble Online License Server (optional).
• Time settings.
• Tracking type settings.
• A global station list with station-related information such as position, receiver, antenna, and much more.
• For terrestrial data, a global point list with point-related information such as point identification, grid coordinates, and operator settings.
• Coordinate system selection.
• Trimble 4D Control Server properties, such as the assignment of modules to operators and UI properties.

To specify system properties, select the main menu command File > System Properties.

Applying system properties

When you change a system property, that property will be ...

• changed permanently, and
• for each system configuration you may load in the future.
