Online License dialog

This dialog appears if you do the following:

  1. Select the main menu command File > System Properties. This opens the System Properties dialog.
  2. Set the focus on the License <#> property and click the browse button.

Use the Online License dialog to select and bind a license to a selected Controller in the system. For a license to be enabled it must be bound to the MAC address of one Controller in the Trimble 4D Control Server system.

If a license has been successfully bound to the Controller, one can use the dialog to view the license status for a a selected Controller. All selection fields and buttons are disabled for editing.

Select a Controller: The drop-down field lists all running and connected computers participating in the Trimble Distributed Environment by their host name and MAC address. Use the property to select a Controller.

Connection Status: Displays the current connection status.
Online , when the connection was established successfully.
Offline , if the connection could not be established.

Select a license pool: All licenses needed for running one Trimble 4D Control Server system possibly distributed onto several computers (that is, Controllers) are bundled in a license pool. If for the same user several Trimble 4D Control Server instances are licensed, this field may display more than one license pool for selection.

Select a license: Use the drop-down list to select a license from all licenses, which are still unbound and free for binding.

Table of features

For the selected license, a table lists the licensed apps and options.

Bind License button

Binds the selected license to the Controller MAC address. The successful binding will be acknowledged by the system and the dialog will close automatically.
