This tab appears, if you do the following:
Use the Remote Download tab to view and edit remote download properties, such as data age and session delay.
If Remote download is selected as Decoder group setting at the Station Information tab, the receiver is connected in a scheduled, post-processing mode. The receiver stores the observation data internally, until the GNSS Receiver module requests the data.
Note - The settings at this page only control the receiver, if the connection to the receiver is an active connection.
During first configuration of a post-processing system the remote receiver must be available. A passive setup will not work.
Maximum file age of data for download: Only available for editing, when setting up a new GNSS Receiver module. Specifies the maximum data age in days. Default: 1 day.
Session delay: This setting applies, when the GNSS Receiver module is loaded automatically or manually, and after the receiver has finished the data logging of the latest file. The GNSS Receiver module waits for the period selected here, before it (re-)starts data download. This setting will be ignored, both, if the remote data download has been cancelled manually using the module's Cancel Download shortcut menu command (no remote data download will be performed), and if it is restarted by the Start Download command (the first download will then start immediately).
Available selections are between 1 minute (default) and 1 hour (60 minutes).
Use FTP access: Only available for Trimble receivers, which are designed for both, data download using an FTP connection as well as using a Storage Integrity connection.
This category only appears, if the selected receiver type is NetRS or if Use FTP access is set to Yes for other Trimble receivers that are designed for data download using an FTP connection over the internet.
Note - FTP requests in Trimble 4D Control Server are configured to not use a proxy.
Use the settings of the FTP Settings category to make the Trimble receiver’s IP address (edit the Server name setting) and FTP port (Port) known to the system.
If the receiver is set up in a way that it requires a password for remote control, set the Anonymous setting to No and edit the FTP user name and FTP User password value fields to provide a user name and password for authentication. If no authentication is required, you can keep the default selection of Anonymous (Yes). If the access restrictions for the FTP client require that an FTP server is configured for passive mode only, set the Passive connection option to Yes. The default setting is No, meaning there is no firewall between the FTP server and the receiver. For more information on passive connections click here.
Note - For a NetRS FTP connection, you do not have to provide the user name, since all NetRS receivers are set up to communicate with the user FTPnetrs.
