This tab appears, if you do the following:
If you select the module in the Tree view after you have added the module, the categories and settings of this tab appear in the Properties view.
Use the Data Logging properties to view and edit the data logging configuration.
Note - The settings at this page only control the receiver, if the connection to the receiver is an active connection.
The Enable data logging configuration setting defines, whether the GNSS Receiver module controls the internal data logging at the receiver or not. By default, this setting is set to No; the configuration settings are not available. If you set the Enable Data Logging Configuration setting to Yes, the configuration settings are available and let you control the receiver settings, as soon as you accept the changes.
Data logging: If set to On, Data logging at the receiver is switched on. Default: Off.
Tracking interval: Defines the update rate of the data written into the file. Default: 1Hz, selectable values are between 20 Hz and 10 minutes, depending on the selected receiver type.
Continuous logging rate: Defines the time range in minutes each file covers. Trimble 4D Control Server includes an auto-delete mode: If the memory card at the receiver does not provide enough space anymore, it automatically deletes the oldest log files, before starting to write the next current one.
File system: This setting only applies for the NetR5 receiver with firmware version 3.80 or later, if the Use FTP access setting (available under the Storage Integrity category and under the Remote Download category) is selected. Another prerequisite for this setting to provoke the download from a specific file system is an active connection to the NetR5 receiver. The File system property specifies the location of the stored data. Internal refers to the non-removable internal flash memory of the receiver. External refers to files residing on any removable flash memory, such as a USB memory stick.
Note - If the receiver initiates the data transfer, it will always look for data in the external as well as in the internal storage, regardless of the File system setting.
Tip – With multiple active connections to a specific Trimble receiver, each connection can influence (control) the data logging at the receiver. For the setup process of the individual connections, therefore, Trimble recommends to never set the Enable Data Logging Configuration setting to Yes. Thereafter, if you wish to configure data logging from the control center, go to one of the active connections to this receiver, go to the GNSS Receiver properties, set the Enable Data Logging Configuration setting to Yes, and then select, whether logging is to be switched on or off together with the settings, if applicable.
