Alarm Manager - Action Settings dialog

This dialog appears if you have defined more than one module group and do the following:

To define a module group, you select specific modules from all modules currently added to the system.

Tip - If you add new modules to the system later, they are by default members of the All group. For all other groups, make sure to add new modules to the matching group(s).

Many Trimble products allow one to make use of module groups, when setting up alarm jobs. For all alarm jobs, the same module groups are available. When defining an alarm job, you define for each module group the specific action settings.

• Select the Alarm Manager module in the Tree view. The categories and settings of the General Settings tab appear in the Properties view.

1. Set the focus onto the List of alarm jobs setting and click the browse button. The Alarm Jobs dialog appears. Set the focus onto the Alarm action setting and click the browse button. Select any action (with the exception of the None action).

Use the Action Settings dialog to view and edit group-dependent settings for the particular Alarm action.

Group Dependent Alarm Settings

Contains the settings for each module group you have defined. By default, it at least displays the module group All. To edit the settings of a module group, set the focus into its value field and click the browse button. Which dialog appears depends on the selected alarm action (see above). One of the following dialogs may appear:

• TCP/IP Server Settings dialog
• Modem Command Settings dialog
• E-mail Header dialog

To delete the action setting for a job, set the focus into the job-related value field and click the button.
