Device Manager Firmware Update view

The Firmware Update view is only visible if Trimble 4D Control Server UI is running in Administrator mode. Use this view to upload a new firmware file to a receiver and to install it there.

Selecting the upload file

To select the file that contains the firmware to be uploaded to the receiver use the Select a firmware browse button. A standard Windows file dialog appears.

Selecting receivers for firmware upload

Use the standard Windows file selection options to select GNSS Receiver module entries from the list.

Starting the firmware update

Viewing the upload status

The view's table shows information about the receiver such as a status identifying icon and the Station Name, Station ID, Station Code and Receiver Type. Address*, User* and Password*refer to the Remote Access properties of the GNSS Receiver module. The Firmware column shows the currently installed firmware version. The Update Status informs about the update progress.

* By default, these values are hidden. To make more values visible, open the view's shortcut menu and select Choose Columns. Then edit the Choose Columns dialog.

Only Trimble receivers equipped with a web UI can be updated using remote access. Receiver types that are not supported for firmware update, appear as grayed out.

Possible receiver update states are:

Receiver firmware is up-to-date.

Receiver firmware update in process.

Icon Device is disconnected
