This dialog appears if you do the following:
Use the Calculate Coordinates dialog to calculate the station position at the reference time and / or the velocity of station movement using all results of a specified period. To do so, select a period, a processing type and the stations, for which you want to perform the calculations.
Choose the period containing the data, which you want to use for the determination of reference coordinates and velocities. The period typically ends at the current time and begins as selected in the combo box. If you select From reference time, the period starts for every station at its reference time set in the station properties. With All epochs selected, all measurements are taken into account.
With the Custom time (GPS) selection, two date and time edit fields become available. Use them to set the start and end time of the period you want to use for the determination of reference coordinates and/or velocities.
Specifies the processing type. These selections are available:
Processing type |
Description |
---|---|
Velocity and coordinates |
Calculates a linear trend with the given data without any restrictions. The position value of the trend line at the reference time determines the reference coordinate. The slope (gradient) of the trend line determines the velocity of displacement. |
Velocity with fixed coordinate |
Use this selection if you do not want to change the station's reference coordinate, but expect a movement of the station on the tectonic plate. You can use the result to update the Station information, Velocity settings in the three directions for the selected station(s). Calculates a linear trend with this constraint: At the reference time, the trend line passes through the known station coordinates. That means, the reference coordinates are held fixed. The slope (gradient) of the resulting trend line determines the velocity of displacement. |
Coordinate only |
Use this selection if you are sure that the station does not move on the tectonic plate. The coordinate value is calculated as a mean value with the given data. This can be interpreted as the calculation of a trend line whose slope is constrained to be zero. That is, velocities are not calculated. |
The station list contains all GNSS stations currently used.
Check boxes let you select the stations. By default, all stations are selected.
The Select All button selects all GNSS stations for calculation, the Select None button disables all.
Click the Process button to start coordinate and velocity calculation for the selected stations. The processing status is shown (the Trimble 4D Control Server UI lets you perform other tasks concurrently) until the processing has finished and the Apply Coordinate Values dialog appears. If there is insufficient data is for calculating a trend for a certain station, a message window keeps you informed.
