Zooming in chart views

When you display a chart there are usually so many data points that they cannot be easily distinguished from each other. To allow a close-up onto a specific chart section of interest, the charts offer an easy-to-use zooming facility.

Click inside the graph and drag the cursor to the right bottom. This creates a zoom rectangle that corresponds to the region that you want to enlarge. When you release the mouse button, the graph will be zoomed to that region. Use the Chart Properties > Zoom direction setting to select the zoom direction. Possible selections are horizontal (in x-axis direction only), vertical (in y-axis direction only), or both in x-axis and y-axis direction. Note, how the rectangle changes its shape, depending on the selected zoom direction You can zoom repeatedly until you have focused on your desired region. To zoom back to the original size, drag the cursor to the left.
