Using module configurations

All modules organize their specific settings in module-dependent configurations. A module configuration contains all properties which belong to this module. Different module configurations, of course, may store different property values, for example for testing purposes.

With a new module configuration, some properties have default values, other settings are empty. If you do not set mandatory properties, a message appears prompting you to do so.

Adding or selecting a module configuration is done while the module is added to the tree (inserted, copied). A Properties dialog lets you add and select a configuration (Configuration tab) and then edit its properties which are available at one or several further tabs. The properties of a module configuration usually can be changed while running the module, but data may not be received during that time or the workflow of depending modules may be influenced. For more information on how changing the properties of a configuration influences the module see the documentation of each module.

The currently loaded configuration appears behind the name of the module in the Tree view. Typically, you cannot select a configuration already used in another module of the same type.
