Main tasks of the administrator of Trimble 4D Control Server are:

1 - Setting up the Trimble 4D Control Server environment:

• Setting up the primary layout of the user interface for configuration and monitoring purposes
• Specifying system properties
• Maintaining system and module configurations
• Controlling the system wide communication

2 - Measuring and processing total station data:

• Designing the mission and feeding real-time measurements by total stations into the system
• Connecting to temperature sensors
• Processing real-time total station measurements
• Importing total station data files for mission setup and post-processing

3 - Providing input and processing of GNSS data:

• Input of orbits
• Input of GNSS observations or NMEA positions
• Synchronizing observations
• Real-time processing
• Post processing of stored data

4 - Setting up the system for an integrated survey

• Processing different data types in an integrated approach

5 - Feeding real-time geotechnical measurements into the system:

• Configuring the data logger

6 - Monitoring deformations:

• Performing adjustments and monitoring the processed data

7 - Outputting data and maintaining the system:

• Setting up data storage
• Controlling the system (generating alarms, controlling file storage, transferring files)
• Generating reports
• Maintaining the database
• Managing user access
