Station Data Import dialog

This dialog appears if you have started the automatic import of station data from files, such as IGS site logs, or Excel worksheets.

Note - The dialog does not appear, if for all detected .log files (IGS site logs) identical station information is found in the global station list.

Use the Station Data Import dialog to view the new or different properties of the station data of the (first detected) file (or station) and to select the stations to be imported. It gives you some information on the import file (file name and location, file date) and lets you view the information on important parameters.

Table of properties

The table displays for the current station all properties which exist both in the global station list and in the data file. For a new station, the Imported Station column displays the property values.

For IGS site logs, Trimble 4D Control Server recognizes matching files if the Station code in the Trimble 4D Control Server global station list is identical to the "Station Code / Four Character ID" within the IGS site log. That means, the "Four Character ID" of the IGS site log matches the unique Station code in Trimble 4D Control Server.

For each station, for which a matching Station code already exists in the global station list, the table lets you compare the values already existing in the system (Existing Station column) and those to be imported (Imported Station column). Rows with different values appear in red highlight. If the site log contains unknown values, such as an antenna type or serial number missing in the antennas.xml file, the value is set to unknown.

Update Existing Station button

Only available, if the station already exists in the global station list. Updates the current station with the data in the Imported Station column.

Update All Existing Stations button

Only available, if the station already exists in the global station list. Globally updates all existing stations for which differing values are found in the data files in this folder.

Skip Station button

Skips the current station from import. The Station Data Import dialog will then show the data for the next new or different station.

Skip All Existing Stations button

Only available, if the station already exists in the global station list. Globally skips all files where the same station name is detected from import.

Add New Station button

Only available, if the station does not yet exist in the global station list. Adds a new station with the data displayed in the Imported Station column.

Update All New Stations button

Only available, if the station does not exist in the global station list. Globally adds new stations for all files for which no matching stations (station codes) are found in the data files in this folder.

Skip All New Stations button

Only available, if the station already exists in the global station list. Globally skips all files where no matching station is detected in the global station list.
