Instrument Manager Properties - General Settings

When you add the Device Manager module, the Device Manager Properties dialog appears with this tab.

If you select the module in the Tree view after you have added the module, the categories and settings of this tab appear in the Properties view.

Use the General Settings tab to view and edit the Instrument Manager properties for priority settings.

General category

Priority settings: Only one Data Collector controlled by the Instrument Manager can connect to one total station at the same time. For multiple Data Collectors connecting to the same total station, you can set priorities to resolve connection conflicts. To view or change the priority settings, set the focus onto the value field of the Priority settings property and click the browse button. This opens the Priority Settings dialog with the current priority settings for Data Collector modules connecting to a common total station.

Note - When you first set up the Instrument Manager module, it does not know any Data Collector modules. Therefore, you cannot edit the Priority settings property at that occasion. To edit priority settings, first add the Instrument Manager module, then add all the Data Collector modules whose total station measurements will be started by the scheduler. Thereafter, if you have added Data Collector modules connecting to a common total station device, edit the Priority settings property.

Use multiple base radios: With the default No setting, radio communication settings will be applied to all Data Collector modules. For using more than one base radio, and setting different communication settings for each Data Collector module, set the value to Yes.
