Select Mountpoint dialog

This dialog appears if you do one of the following:

Use the Select Mountpoint dialog to automatically request the source-table from the selected Ntrip caster and to specify the unique source mountpoint(s) for incoming GNSS data.

Requesting a source-table

When you access the dialog and have already specified the NtripCaster, a request for a source-table starts automatically at the caster specified in the Connection Settings. After a source-table has successfully been requested, the Select Mountpoint dialog displays its contents in the Mountpoint, Caster and Network tabs.

To manually request a source-table, click the Request Source-Table button.

Getting information on the sources

By default, the tables in the three tabs display in each row the most important information for each mountpoint, caster, or network. To view more information on the sources, do one of the following:

Selecting the mountpoint

All mountpoints available at the selected caster appear in the Mountpoints tab, after a source-table has been successfully requested. To view a description of the table contents of the Mountpoint tab click here.

What happens next, depends on the authentication mode:

Selecting another caster from the source-table

Source-tables can contain not only information on individual services (mountpoints) but also on networks of data streams and on other NtripCasters providing more data streams. All casters available at the selected caster appear in the Casters tab, after a source-table has been successfully requested. To view a description of the table contents of the Casters tab click here.

To switch to a caster from the list, set the focus onto it and double-click it. After its source-table is successfully requested, the address and port of the new caster appear in the Caster Address and Port Number group and the tables are updated with the new information.

Selecting another caster with known IP address (host name)

To switch to another caster with known address and port number, edit the Caster Address (host domain name or IP address) and Port Number fields in the Caster Address and Port Number group and click Request Source-Table.

Getting network information

The current source-table will typically also contain information on the network(s) providing the data streams offered and possibly also on additional networks. All networks available at the source-table of the selected caster appear in the Network tab, after a source-table has been successfully requested. To view a description of the table contents of the Network tab click here.

To move to the web site of the service provider of a network from the list, select this record and double-click it. Your default web browser comes up loading the requested web site. The Select Mountpoint dialog still displays the contents of the current source-table and lets you proceed with the configuration of the connection.
