Select Geoid Model dialog
This dialog appears, if you do the following:
- Do one of the following:
- If your currently selected coordinate system is Default:Default: Select the main menu command File > System Properties, set the focus onto the Select coordinate system setting and click the browse button.
- If your currently selected coordinate system is a different one: Select the main menu command File > System Properties, set the focus onto the Select coordinate system setting and click the browse button. The Select Coordinate System dialog appears. Select New System and click Next.
The Select Coordinate System Type dialog appears.
- Do one of the following:
- Select Coordinate System and Zone and click Next. The Coordinate System Zone dialog appears.
- Select Default Projection (Transverse Mercator) and click Next. The Default Projection (Transverse Mercator) dialog appears.
- Follow the wizard to select either a coordinate system zone with or without pre-defined datum transformation, or to specify a default projection based on the Transverse Mercator projection. Selecting the geoid model is the last step of the wizard.
Use the dialog to view or specify the geoid model to be applied, if any.
Default geoid model values
- Most coordinate system zones are associated with a default geoid model. When the Select Geoid Model dialog appears, the associated geoid model is highlighted in the list of predefined geoid models.
- For the default projection, the default setting is No geoid model.
Geoid model selection
For changing the geoid model specification, use one of the following options.
No geoid model: If selected, no geoid model is applied.
Predefined Geoid model: The list of alphabetically sorted geoid models available for selection in the database.
Properties of an item
To view the properties of the selected item, right-click its name to access the shortcut menu. Select Properties. This opens a properties read-only dialog, which displays the parameters of the selected items.
Next step
Either select a geoid model or select No geoid model. Click Finish. The selected coordinate system group and zone are displayed in the System Properties dialog. If the selected coordinate system is the, possibly modified, default projection, the selected coordinate system is displayed as Default: Default.
