GGA - Global Positioning System fix data

The GGA record contains time, position and fix related data for a GNSS receiver. See the following bitmap and spreadsheet for a description of a record:

Note – The latitude and longitude are in the datum and ellipsoid of the selected reference frame.

M: orthometric height is measured in meters

Geoid separation, the difference between the earth ellipsoid and mean-sea-level (geoid), "-" means mean-sea-level below ellipsoid

M: geoid separation is measured in meters

Age of differential GPS data, time in seconds since last SC104 type 1 or 9 update. Null field when DGPS is not used.

Differential reference station ID, [0000-1023]. A null field when any reference station is selected and no corrections are received.

Checksum [00 - FF]
