This dialog appears if you do one of the following:
Use the Disk Watch Jobs dialog to view and edit Disk Watch jobs.
Tip - Use the Properties view to view and edit the settings for a specific job: Select Disk Watch in the Tree view. The Disk Watch Status view displays the list of jobs. There, set the focus onto the job entry. (If the Properties view is not open, right-click the job entry in the Disk Watch Status view, then select Properties from the shortcut menu.) The Properties view now displays the settings of all categories of the selected job.
The dialog displays a list of all currently added jobs. Jobs are represented in the list by the name of the computer and folder (including sub-folders) to be monitored. If you add a new job, it appears with the name New Disk Watch Job as long as you have not selected the computer and folder.
You must configure jobs first, before the Disk Watch module can start monitoring the system. You may also remove a job from here, if you do not need it anymore.
Adds a new job to the list. To define its properties use the settings on the right side of the dialog.
Deletes the currently selected job(s) from the list.
Contains all settings for the currently selected job(s). To select the computer and the root folder to be monitored, go to the Folder name property and click the browse button. The Browse Folder dialog appears. Only files within the selected folder and its sub-folders will be deleted, if the deletion criteria are fulfilled.
File filters: Specifies the type of files that Disk Watch deletes, if the deletion criteria are fulfilled. To view and edit the list of file types click the browse button. The File Filter Editor dialog appears. By default, the list contains the extensions of the files which are created by Trimble 4D Control Server (i.e. .org, .tmt, .dat, .t01, .t02, .??n, .??g, .??a, .??o, .??m, .??d, .??b, .zip, .Z, .tgz, .orb, .sp3). You may add further file types, remove file types from the list, or select all files of the monitored folder and sub-folders.
Warning – Make sure that when using wildcard characters no other files will be selected and deleted, which should not be deleted.
Delete mode: Specifies in which case files should be deleted:
Tip – As a rule of thumb for drives on which Windows is not installed: The threshold limit for minimum disk space should be twice the amount of data your system creates and stores during the period between two checks by the Disk Watch module. Remember that the operating system itself needs a considerable amount of free space.
Delete empty folders?: If set to Yes (default value), the Disk Watch module deletes folders which do not contain any files or subfolders, independently of their age. If you want to prevent empty folders to be deleted (for example, because they will be filled soon after the deletion occurred), set the Delete empty folders? property to No.
Pause job?: To temporarily prevent the job from being executed set the Pause job? setting to Yes. By default, it is set to No and, therefore, file deletion will start as soon as the specified condition is fulfilled.
