Import Job XML dialog
This dialog appears, if you do the following:
- Select the Data Collector module in the Tree view. Right-click to open its shortcut menu. Select the Import JXL File from Site Setup App command. This opens the Import Job XML dialog, which is a standard Windows folder and file selection dialog which offers only the Job XML File (.jxl) file type for selection. Select a valid .jxl file and click Open.
Use the dialog to view and import the collected information needed for a total station setup (site setup). The imported data is added to the mission the selected Data Collector module refers to.
Note - Point information is fed into the system in two ways: It can be imported automatically from JobXML files. (You specify the JobXML file(s) either when importing it into a Data Collector module or in the configuration of a Terrestrial Engine PP module.) In a real-time environment, you can specify point information when setting up the mission-related Data Collector module, either by importing point information from a CSV file or by manually adding new points to the list and editing its properties.
Displayed information
The Import Job XML dialog displays on its left side the site information already existing for this Data Collector module, on its right side the information available in the JobXML file. The information is given in three groups:
- Information on the total station point (Existing / importing total station point).
- Information on the station setup (Existing / importing station setup information) - this area contains the Station setup mode, one of Station Setup, Station Setup Plus, or Resection, and a list of the backsight points, identified by their point name.
- Information on the targeted prism points (Existing / importing points).
The areas giving information on points, either total station or target points, include the Northing, Easting, Elevation coordinates, and the point type (such as Target or DR Target) .
Targeted prism information
For each target point to be imported, an additional table-in-table gives the results of a reference measurement in both faces, 1 and 2. Measured values are the following:
- EDM distance: Distance of the prism from the Electronic Distance Measurement device. In the selected length unit.
- Hz circle reading: The horizontal circle reading. In degrees.
- V angle: The vertical angle between total station and prism. In degrees.
- Target height: Specifies the height of the target prism above ground point.
- Prism constant: Specifies the prism constant of the target prism.
Two additional values complete the target information:
- Slope distance: Computed from the EDM distance and the prism constant.
- Lock mode: The search and lock mode for the target, one of Long Range FineLock, FineLock, or AutoLock.
Color coding
Color codes indicate the action that will pertain to each entry:
- The light yellow highlight indicates an object that will be changed after the import of the JobXML file.
- The green highlight indicates an object that will be added to the mission.
- Light red highlighted objects will be removed after the import of the JobXML file.
Starting the import
