NMEA Engine

The Icon NMEA Engine module NMEA Engine module collects the NMEA baseline data of the latest epoch from all selected NMEA Receiver stations, synchronizes the data as one epoch and possibly applies a filter upon it. The data can then be passed on to the Integrity Monitor module.

The NMEA Engine module automatically recognizes when NMEA Receiver modules are removed and adapts itself accordingly. It also recognizes automatically, if NMEA Receiver modules are added, but does not use them until you enable them, which is done in the NMEA Engine properties.

Adding the NMEA Engine module

The NMEA Engine module is available from the Tree view root item. Trimble 4D Control Server accepts several NMEA Engine modules. For example, you can split up the system in several sub-networks using different NMEA Engines.

When the module is being added, the NMEA Engine Properties dialog lets you specify its configuration. Each configuration holds information on the number and IDs of selected stations, the tracking interval and the filter settings. You can change the selected NMEA Engine configuration at any time.

The module displays the NMEA Engine Status, Filtered Results and Chart module-view pages.

Exporting station information

For exporting the station information of all stations selected for a NMEA Engine module, right-click the module in the Tree to open its shortcut menu and select one of the export options.

Using one of the export commands, the station information of the following stations will be exported in one step:

Logging into the database

All actions of the NMEA Engine module are logged into the central database. The database contains the following tables referring to the NMEA Engine system:

Table name

Contents

More information

MeanPos_NMEAEngine_<config name>

Position vector and covariance matrix components.

One row for each epoch and each baseline. *

*By default, the data of these tables is reduced depending on settings of the TableLifeTime table.
