FTP Mirror Status view

The FTP Mirror Status view lets you manage FTP Mirror jobs and provides information about them. A status icon gives you immediate information on the current status of each job. For a detailed description of its table columns see the following table.

The FTP Mirror module organizes its tasks in "jobs". Each job defines

• the source location: computer and the folder on it (including sub-folders) to be mirrored,
• the target on the FTP server site: host name and port, destination folder, user authentication
• the scheduled times, when file mirroring should occur,
• conditions which files should or should not be mirrored, depending on file age,
• a selection of files to be mirrored, depending on file extensions.

Additionally, the following applies:

• If the FTP Mirror module is loaded, its jobs are enabled; if the module is unloaded, the jobs stop executing their tasks.
• You can pause and re-start any job,
• A job can cause an alarm in the Alarm Manager module.

The FTP Mirror module can run multiple jobs. For example, to monitor two different root folders on a computer, set up two jobs.

Add Job

To add a new job to the list, do one of the following:

• Right-click into the list to open the shortcut menu, and select Add Job,
• Press the Ins keyboard button,
• Click the module-view button.

Edit the job properties.

Modify

If you double-click onto a job, its Properties dialog lets you edit and customize the settings of the activated job.

Delete Job

To delete one or several jobs permanently, select the respective job(s) and do one of the following:

• Right-click to open their shortcut menu, and select Delete Job(s),
• Press the Del keyboard button,
• Click the module-view button.

Pause or Unpause Job(s)

To temporarily prevent one or several jobs from being executed, right-click them to open their shortcut menu and select Pause Job(s). This command sets the Pause job setting for all selected jobs to Yes. To allow the job(s) to be performed again, select Unpause Job(s). This command sets the Pause job setting to No; the file deletion will start as soon as the specified condition is fulfilled.
