Ephemeris Manager Predicted Orbit Information view

Use the Ephemeris Manager Predicted Orbit Information view to get information on the orbits which are available. Above a main spreadsheet several fields display the time, for which the corrections to the broadcast orbits are calculated. The contents of this view depends on your license status and on your property settings, that is, whether the connection to a server of real-time orbits is enabled or not.

For a description of the columns of the spreadsheet see the following table.

Available columns in the main table

The main spreadsheet displays the current satellite status.

Note - If one of the numerical values is not available (that is, if at least one of the orbits is not available), the respective field will show ---, indicating that this value could not be computed. If a difference value is greater than a threshold value (+/- 15 m for GPS/QZSS, +/- 50 m for GLONASS/BeiDou,+/- 1000 m for Galileo satellites), the respective value is marked as suspicious (red color of the value).

By default, some of the columns are hidden. To view a different selection of columns, right-click into the view; from its shortcut menu, select Choose Columns. Then edit the Choose Columns dialog.

Column

Description

More Information

Sat

Satellite identification.

Received at the last epoch.

Satellite system IDs are:
Cxx: A BeiDou satellite.
Exx: A Galileo satellite.
Gxx: A GPS satellite.
Jxx: A QZSS satellite.
Rxx: A GLONASS satellite.
Sxx: An SBAS satellite.

System

Satellite system.

One of GALILEO, GLONASS, GPS, BeiDou, or QZSS.

Broadcast

Are broadcast orbits available?

A check box. If it is not selected, the satellite will not be used and the orbit difference can not be computed.

Predicted

Are predicted orbits available for this satellite?

A check box. The module searches for ultra rapid orbit files .sp3 in the folder defined in its settings dialog. The ultra rapid orbits are updated automatically, if you have added the Ephemeris Download module.
If the check box is not selected, the depending processing module uses broadcast orbits.

Timble RTX

Are realtime Trimble RTX orbits available for this satellite

A check box.

Brdc / Prdc Orbit Diff

Distance between satellite positions based on broadcast and predicted orbits at epoch time.

In meters.

Brdc /RTX Orbit Diff

Distance between satellite positions based on broadcast and Trimble RTX orbits at epoch time.

In meters.

Prdc /RTX Orbit Diff

Distance between satellite positions based on predicted and Trimble RTX orbits at epoch time.

In meters.

Brdc / Prdc Clock Diff

Difference of satellite clock error between broadcast and predicted.

In meters. If the difference is greater than the threshold value for the respective satellite system, the value will be set to 0.00 and the clock value of the broadcast ephemeris will be used for computations.

Brdc /RTX Clock Diff

Difference of satellite clock error between broadcast and Trimble RTX.

In meters.

Prdc/RTX Clock Diff

Difference of satellite clock error between predicted and Trimble realtime.

In meters.

Suspicious Predicted

Are predicted orbits / clocks suspicious?

A check box. If it is checked, the difference value is greater than the threshold value for this satellite system (+/- 15 m for GPS/QZSS, +/- 50 m for GLONASS/BeiDou,+/- 1000 m for Galileo satellites).

Suspicious RTX

Are Trimble RTX orbits / clocks suspicious?

A check box. If it is checked, the difference value is greater than the threshold value for this satellite system (+/- 15 m for GPS/QZSS, +/- 50 m for GLONASS/BeiDou,+/- 1000 m for Galileo satellites).

Note - The update interval of the status messages depends on the bandwidth control setting you have selected when logging in to the Trimble 4D Control Server UI.
