Terrestrial Engine RT - Processing rules
These rules apply for the Terrestrial Engine RT module when synchronizing the round measurements:
- Each Data Collector or Data Receiver module transmits the data of a set of rounds (a set of rounds may include up to four rounds, depending on your Data Collector and Data Receiver settings) when it has finished measuring the targets in all rounds in both faces.
- The end time of the last measured round defines the round measurement age.
- When the first set of rounds comes in, the Terrestrial Engine RT module waits for the other sets of rounds to arrive, until the time specified in the Delay before processing property has passed.
- As soon as the set of rounds from all selected Data Collector or Data Receiver modules have arrived, the processing starts even if the delay time has not yet passed.
- If after the delay time period sets of rounds are still missing, the processing will start nevertheless.
- If a missing set of rounds arrives after the delay time period has passed, a new mission processing is started immediately, including all round measurements which are not older than defined by the Maximum age of round property.
- A new processing round (starting a new delay period) begins as soon as a new set of rounds arrives from a Data Collector or Data Receiver module, whose last set of rounds has already been processed.
Sets of rounds missing or scheduled at different times
If, for example, Data Collector module A is scheduled to measure its set of rounds every hour, Data Collector module B, however, measures its set of rounds belonging to the same mission every 6 hours, it depends on the combination of these two properties and the measurement end times, how the measurements are combined in processing. See the table below, which displays the processing event times and the included set of roundss for selected Delay before processing and Maximum age of round settings for the daily time between 11:00 and 14:00 o'clock. All times shown here are in the time system you have selected for the Trimble 4D Control Server system.
