Provide these periodically measured temperature values to Terrestrial Engine RT modules.
Store the data in the central database.

Adding the module

The Temperature Sensor module is available from the Tree view root Trimble 4D Control Server. Trimble 4D Control Server accepts multiple Temperature Sensor modules for the whole system.

When the module is being added, the Temperature Sensor Properties dialog appears. It lets you define and select module configurations.

Serial cable connection, only for a connection to a Papouch TM thermometer,
TCP/ IP client or TCP/ IP server connection, for a remote connection to a Papouch TM thermometer or to a Papouch TME thermometer, which can communicate using TCP/IP.

Tip - Before adding a Temperature Sensor module to the module-tree of Trimble 4D Control Server, make sure that the data transmission between the device and the control center computer is working without problems.

Data visualization

Once configured, the Temperature Sensor module provides collective information about the current temperature at the sensor. Through the Status view available to this module, one can quickly determine the health and operating status of that device.

In the Tree view, each Temperature Sensor module is represented by its connection name and a status-identifying icon.

	The device is active and connected.
	The device is malfunctioning.
	The device is disconnected.

Logging into the database

The Temperature Sensor module writes raw temperature measurements into the central database. The database contains the following table referring to the Temperature Sensor system:
