Using the Help System

Getting Help

1. To view the Help, do one of the following:
   • From the Trimble 4D Control Server main menu, select Help > Contents.
   • From the Help toolbar, click .
2. Find the information you need by:
   • Using the Content tab to browse through topics by category, like a book.
   • Using the Index tab to see a list of index entries. Type the word (or a regular expression, such as Getting AND Help) you are looking for or scroll through the list.

     Tip - To directly access the Index tab from Trimble 4D Control Server do one of the following:

     • From the main menu, select Help > Index.
     • From the Help toolbar, click .
   • Using the Search tab to find all occurrences of a word in the Help file.

     Tip - To directly access the Search tab from Trimble 4D Control Server do one of the following:

     • From the main menu, select Help > Search.
     • From the Help toolbar, click .

Tip - Click Back on the Help toolbar to view topics that you have seen before.

Getting context sensitive Help

Use context sensitive Help to find out about each dialog or view you are working with. To get context sensitive Help, do the following:

1. Select the Trimble 4D Control Server dialog or view you want help on,
2. Press the F1 keyboard button.

The Help topic for that dialog or view appears.
