Driver Collection view
Driver Collection views are user-defined assemblies of configuration-related connection information, notwithstanding their location in the hierarchy. Additionally, use the Driver Collection view to reset selected connections.
When Trimble 4D Control Server starts the first time, no collection view is available. You can create and open collection views at any time using the Template Collection view.
A typical collection view pane consists of the following elements:
- The header displays the view name (Driver Collection) and is used for actions on the view (hiding, exiting, etc.)
- Table heading (Overview of all connections).
- Column headers display the information type label.
- Row headers, one for each connection in the Trimble 4D Control Server system
- Table body, filled in with information for each connection and each information type.
Configuring a Driver Collection view
When you open a new Driver Collection view, it is empty with the exception of the table heading and the row headings. The table contains as many row headings as connections have been specified in the current system configuration. At this state, you can only view the connection properties of an activated (click the row header to set the black arrow pointing to the right) connection, if a Properties view is open.
To configure a Driver Collection view do one of the following:
- To add columns, do the following
- If no Template Collection view is open, select File > Template Collection to open an instance of it.
- In the Template Collection view, point to a list item and drag it to the Driver Collection view (note the cursor shape changing, when insertion is possible).
- Repeat this step, until you have selected all information needed for this instance of the Driver Collection view.
- To specify another order of the columns, if necessary, drag a column by its header to the new position. Insertion at a new position is possible, if a red arrow pointing down appears at the left of another column.
- To remove a column, right-click its header and select Remove column.
- To restrict the list, for example, to specific modules, use the filter icon at the right side of a column heading. It opens a context menu allowing you to select rows from several criteria. If the filter is set, the filter icon changes its appearance (filled blue).
Actions on connections
- To view or change the properties of one or selected connections, select one or several connection (click the row(s)), right-click and then select Properties.
- If a connection should happen to fail or be unstable, resetting the connection may solve the issue. To do so, use the Driver Collection view. Click anywhere into the connection row to activate it, right-click and then select Reset.
